Firstly, feature extraction is performed from raw data, typically including voltage, current, and temperature. Subsequently, various machine learning methods are employed to establish the relationship between HIs and capacity, thereby realizing battery capacity estimation.
The tasks of our EVBattery dataset are not limited to EV battery health anomaly detection and capacity estimation. The dataset contains EV batteries from three manufacturers so the transfer learning task between different datasets can also be considered.
The combination of ECM and data-driven methods enables capacity estimation using EIS data. Each component of the reconstructed ECM is assigned specific physical meaning, clarifying its role within the battery’s electrochemical processes.
To assess the accuracy of the battery capacity estimation, we employed the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) metric. A lower RMSE value indicates a more accurate estimation of the battery capacity. Additionally, we also calculated the standard deviation of the RMSE to measure the consistency of the algorithm’s performance.
Furthermore, Fu et al. proposed a multidimensional feature extraction method based on the concept of incremental capacity, introducing an incremental slope feature extraction technique and combining it with a multilayer perceptron and transfer learning theory to estimate battery capacity in various application scenarios .
