All batteries should be stored, charged and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Never burn, overheat, disassemble, short-circuit, solder, puncture, crush or otherwise mutilate battery packs or cells. Do not put batteries in contact with conductive materials, water, seawater, strong oxidisers and strong acids.
Portable batteries and batteries which cannot be removed from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) should be disposed of: via their distributor where they offer a take back scheme. When storing and disposing of waste batteries, they should be protected from damage and insulated to prevent short-circuits.
